God Mage Reawakening Saga Timless Mage Trilogy Book 3 eBook DW Jackson

I've really liked the series up to this point but it feels like the author really mailed it in on this one. First of all, the book should really be called Running Mage because that's all the main character does the whole book, run away. Secondly, all of the females in his group have devolved into one archetype and none of them stand out for any reason whatsoever for the entire book. I really liked the whole Queendom idea and all the politics involved in it in all of the previous books but there is absolutely none of that in this book and its sorely lacking because of it. The girls used to all be diverse and different and I found myself trying to remember which one is which in this book because there wasn't a single thing any one of them did of consequence.

Mostly, this book is lacking a villain. I'm trying to think of a single thing the "bad guys" actually said the entire book and all I can come up with is "Charge!". Honestly, everybody knew exactly what the cliffhanger was going to be at the end of the book and nothing interesting happened on the way. This entire book could have just been a chapter or two that was added on the end of the previous book. I'm giving it two stars just because I wanted to like this book so much but it was well below the quality of all the books leading up to it. Please don't make this into the Wheel of Time where there were about 6 throw away books between anything of consequence.

God Mage Reawakening Saga Timless Mage Trilogy Book 3 eBook DW Jackson Reviews

i might have provided a more exuberant review had the editing not been so bad. As I looked at the reviews of several of the other books written by the author, I can only say that if the editing has not improved during the last two-three years. I would suggest that investing in a professional editor would bring about an exponential improvement in the reviews that are written by the readers. I am not saying that the story line could not also be improved, but the basic plot seems to be viable. I doubt that without correction of the editing, I will not be purchasing any more books by this author.
Cool concept and fun charcters.. tho no real permenent growth though between his main character and faye. Same old stuff, argument then shes up on his arm asking why they dont talk... hes emotionless yet hes showing emotion all the time and still acts childish and oblivious to obvious things. Really frustrating, other than that love the magic, and physical changes, but
Not sure how to review this book. Kept me interested and the ending has you wanting to know what's next! Love the characters, but too much is centered on the main character and not enough info on the other leading characters. I'd like to know more about what the other characters think and feel.
I liked the first two books in the series, but this one really dragged. I found myself skimming. Sometimes he is really powerful and the next he can't even shoot a bunch of arrows. And the forever chase toward the end... and what happened to all the cuts, etc. Too many disconnected and contrived events. Also seemed funny that everyone in his group was shocked at his skin color, but in a few scenes at new villages no one even noticed. It was also a little unbelievable that a teenage boy has no interest in girls. A little too PG13. I was hoping for a conclusion in the third book of a "trilogy".
These shouldnt be seperate books, the are more like short stories, the character development is really lacking, they never really hit any strife, her is the problem, bam its solved. You never really connect with the main character, much less all the supporting characters, who seem like they are just there to fill some space.
Another cliff hanger. A nail bitter to the finish. What a fun ride. Me thinks this Trilogy will continue after 3. Can't wait. Good job, the editor needs to pay attention to word placement.
Spell check found no error but content needs some work. Not hard to figure out.
I was a little disappointed that it doesn't appear this was the last book in this "trilogy". Not sure I would have started this series if I had known it was going to go on and on. I was hoping I could get a conclusion, but obviously not! The only reason for this is that it always seems to take forever for the next book. The story itself is interesting and fun to read. I have actually read other authors who will state at the beginning of the series just how many books will be coming in the series. That makes it easier to await the book that is to follow! That all being said, I will (im)patiently await the next book. It really is a fun to read series, which is why I will wait..........
